Redmist nice rifles, how do you find the 284,is a bit of a barrel burner, what weight is the rifle .

That particular rifle shot at least 2300 rounds and although is showing signs of throat erosion (when looked through my borescope) it still shoots sub half MOA groups.

I load it with 140grainers going 2900fps which is not pushing them very hard.

Weight is about 12 lbs (I think), I can carry it all day after reds and it is not problem anyway.

T3 in 308.

Stainless yes but ceracoated or duracoated black is better, cools quicker.
Helps when load testing.

Schmidt Rubin K11 in 7.5x55. Old straight pull service rifle built in Switzerland 1919. Amazingly accurate and has been used stalking (with a scope fitted)

I'm sure it's Caleiderscope (James Clark) on this site is who is the expert for Duracoat.
Thar had a rifle done by him.
My rifle was ceracoated by Pete Lincoln 3 years ago.

some of them american finnishes are really ace, i can't imagine taking the stock off my model 7 and sending it for urban tiger!

But i have been really seriously considering making a stock for my .30-06 out of fiberglass and i have found this and ejgs thread really good.

This is my Tikka 595.243 with a Hungarian 6x42 S/B scope and PES silencer. I have owned this particular rifle for about 9/10 years with no problems

Both these rifles have got Butler Creek scope caps which i find open and close quickly and keep the water out. :-D

Nice one Wadashot.
A man with a .270,as rare as rocking horse droppings it seems to me.
Some of the comments I've had "What do you want one of those for?" and "They kick a bit don't they?"
It's good to see someone else using one.
All the best,
Gyr

Thanks Gyr.

Those moderators soon calm em down mate ;)

I used to have a .270 Styer classic carbine before this, what i used in Scotland when i was working there. It had that PES which is now on the .243 and it was brill. Got rid when i came home, shame, but didn`t need it, so got rid

Rare Tikka 7-08

Now on lower mounts with a bush muffler.
I'd be surprised if there were more M55's in 7-08 Rem kicking about in the UK!
This is my favorite rifle,as I have shot my first doe & buck with it,however the older model stainless synthetic tikka is the first thing I look for when the weather is poor.
