Yes I was lucky got a one that shoots. It does look like someone ran over it with tracked digger though. That’s a bit like drawing a short straw !
Contingency Plan ( back up rifle) in the event of whatever ) be it the rifle / scope. a bummer to say the least.
Buck.

Ranger22, we get it you don't like the Tikka T3 and would far rather have a Remmy. However, 7 pages into a thread (which you started) you have to admit that you would appear to be in the minority on this one.
Sounds as though your needing some (me time fella). You could perhaps go down the Ruger route, a change is as good as a holiday!
Can l ask ..being FC you’ll be exempt from holding an fac. ?
If so can you not apply for one in your own right and use whatever you want.
Ps. personally lm a Tikka user have never seen an issue with mag or having to put off safety to empty.
After all we’re all safety conscious or should bel like the idea of locking the bolt.
Let you’re hair down Al. chill.
T3's also equip many UK Police forces.
Tikka seem to be very good a getting Government contracts. They won the Canadian Government contract to re-equip the Canadian Rangers who had been using the No4 Lee Enfield since the 1940's with a version of the Tikka T3. Will these still be going strong in 60 years time?
For the Forestry Commission, The Tikka T3 probably represented good value for money on a competitive tender basis and whilst there proabably UK suppliers of similar rifles, it is a European source which would favour it over and above the Remington700 - which also has a history of litigation.
