3 Calibres

22wmr, 223, 243 covers for what I need,

For the land I go to and the deer stalking (roe, munty, cwd) that I do

22wmr for vermin and fox(100yd max)
223 for fox and vermin
243 for deer and fox if I see them whilst out and about

I still stand by my .FAC in .25 can shoot pigeons out of tree and inside sheds I do more of that than anything else.
.20 vartarg lots of cartridge for little powder.
And either 6.5cm or .308 depends if I did wild boar alot.

But

.22Lr; .243W, .308W. Covers all for the UK.
I would be lead by the availability of different types and weights of amo in your locality and elswhere in the world, more than by a small variation on the above calibres being fashionable or not, or minute differences in ballistic performance.

Hmmmm , 243 the 260 REM and for number three I have it down to three choices 6.5 PRC - 6.5-06 - 26 Nosler . Doesn’t help that I own atleast one rifle for each of the five cartridges .
