Remember the bottom line: only 4 of 32 local authority areas in Scotland voted for independence, and the turnout and number of 'stay in the UK' voters was greater than all who voted SNP last national election time. If Scotland voted in favour of independence in some mindless 'lose 30% of yer assets in exchange for turbo-charged Austerity for the next 20 plus years' dare-gone-wrong, what you'd see next ain't the breakup of EU, but the fragmentation of Scotland, as the wealth generating areas sought to align with rUK, as Shetland and Orkney are already fixing to do.

Well for the first time in my life I went to bed at 11.45 on 31.12 with a blinding headache most likely from BrexitCrap/Covidkrap, there were no fireworks here either just a fizzle into the new year. I had always seen in the new year live before yesterday. I was honestly so sad about the whole blooming thing.

It is correct that the UK has not recovered 100% of our sea fisheries on Day One. There is a phased return over 5.5 years to allow both sides to reorganise. The UK industry could not have utilised a total return overnight because they simply do not have the capacity to do so. Likewise the EU industry will need time to readjust. There is a scheme to assist in the rebuilding of the industry following it's decline since joining the EU that the UK Government will be promoting, and surprise surprise the SNP are kicking off and complaining already that they should be administering the scheme in respect of Scottish fisheries. To suggest the fisheries have been "sold down the river" is misleading. In large scale negotiations both sides have to make some compromises, let's face it if you buy a vehicle from a dealer there are compromises each way: both dealer and buyer negotiate on price, trade in value, accessories etc and either reach a compromise or walk away.

The proof of the pudding...that tampon tax would have cost the average woman in her lifetime but £40...is if the Tories will remove the VAT that they (Ken Clarke) imposed on domestic gas and electricity. Then claimed that they then couldn't remove it below 5% because of the EU. So when's that getting removed now we are out fully? It's all smoke and mirrors to divert attention from that 5% on home energy costs.
