Annoyed beyond words.....

Yes sound's right low although as pointed out, there's always 2 sides to the coin.

However if what you are say'n is true, I would'nt be a happy-chappie either.

Perhaps you can come to a mutual agreement (Refund or possibly another outing without BILLY THE KID!!)

If all that is in vain you can always NAME + SHAME.

At least some on here would get the benefit of your bad misfortune, and give them in question a wide berth.

Rgds Buck.

That is unreal. If your paying for a stalkers time he should give you and your friend 100% his time. anyone else coming along should have been aranged befor hand

Ask for a refund if not County Court,it will cost him time and money to defend in court (time off work etc) you win by default if he wont defend case,+ wont do his reputation any good, and then has a County Court Judgment against him.

Sorry, I did over react and PKL is absolutely right as there are always two sides to every situation. In my defence, I took out guests for many years and the behaviour reported was completely unacceptable!

Well if it is true, and I am not saying it isnt, all I can say is ....................... oh my god!!:shock:

And keep your money in your pocket!!

I don't want to name anyone really. I have spoken to the owner of the lease today and told him what happened just waiting for him to get back to me after he has spoken to the stalker.

I understand that there are two sides to every story which is why I haven't named them here. I shoot on a professional basis, this includes shooting deer on busy roads with police roadblocks in place. So when I get a chance to stalk properly I enjoy it immensely.Perhaps, as I regularly shoot in urban environments my sense of safety may well be overdeveloped but I thought that was normal given the responsibilty.

In a stalking situation as with any situation where an animal is going to be dispatched it has always been my opinion that it should be humane. Clattering a deer in the throat with a 55gr round while the animal is on the run......

I'm sorry,,are you suggesting this chap was shooting fallow bucks at extended ranges, with a 55g, and trying to neck shoot them, whilst running....:shock::shock: this gets better and better.

I maybe different but me and my guides NEVER carry a gun while guiding. (sometimes I wish i had but thats another story) I have on occasion carried the estate rifle for them if the client has been old or a complete novice but again thats different.
I would ask why as a client my guide thought he needed to be "tooled up" and as to having another guest out on the same ground and "added" to the party this also seems very strange.
I did once hear about a chap who started taking people out and sold it as "accompanied" only to sit them in a high seat and then go for a walk with his own rifle. He didn't last long I wonder why.
Money back or a free stalk should be in order, though I would not want to be in thier company really.
There will be another side to this story but I think you have not had what you wanted for your money.

Not suggesting, stating a fact. The more I recall the worse it gets.

I have been out with the same stalker on many occasions. He always carries his rifle and has in the past "jumped the gun" so to speak and taken a shot before me. I have also been left in the high seat while he has had a wander around. The last time he did that he bagged a rather fine buck not 500 yards from where he left me.

Time to move on to and find pastures new I think.

How can he call himself a guide? do you buy this as accompanied stalking or just as access to the land??.
You need to move on i'm sure if he has left you and you move how do you know where each other is??

If I'm not mistaken, the last person who posted a story like this got a free stalk out of it ;)

You answered your on question fella move on.

I think this stalker has had you and probably others.

OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am speechless, genuinely. These guys should be reported for sure..not sure whom to though:doh:

Sounds like this is just profiteering, that he takes payment to act as a guide, but really just brings people along when he goes stalking himself, or when him and psycho joe go stalking together. Sticking people in a highseat is a perfect way to get someone out of the way whilst you go stalking yourself..what an arzehole!

question,,,have you ever shot anything with this guy?

also,,,as Mike said,,it actually sounds more like a guy running a cowboy operation on someone elses land that a stalker running a business...

does 55g generate enough ft/lbs to be legal on fallow??
