Pulsar c50

Well I reckon this is a record braking thread,

I am still very pleased with the c50 I really have put it to the test, and to my total surprise the ir that came with it has been more than sufficient,
The dusk mode is **** hot.
For me as a work tool its a must, versatile.

Today I used the new model sidewinder i brought and I rather the c50.

My only issue is that the battery's don't last the time pulsar reckon 🤔

Oh and the mic is very sensitive you can't fart while filming, or when I and filming a YouTube video and my old man is swearing his head off good f ING shot boy.

That said you can hear the impact of my air rifle hitting at 50 yards.

Speaker is very sensitive in comparison to the Thermions , I’m going to test blocking two of the side cap holes on a spare cap I have and check the results , the C50 speaker holes are larger than the Thermion models .

But it is nice to hear the impact on the rat thats quality.
Are you enjoying yours?

If I may take a min.

to mr pellet pinger please do not take offence as it really is not my intention to put your video down , in fact quite the opposite. I’m actually a big fan .

i think a lot of people tend to forget that optics will always be a subjective opinion.

so on the subject of clarity, image detail and general veiwing by the intended audience we need to keep in mind that the captured image/video is how the operator sees it .
a simple example could be … if your looking at a rabbit say 200m away through your brand new Swarovski binos and the image detail is sublime. You then pass them to your mate who in turn looks at the same rabbit, there is a very good chance that your have to adjust the focus , even though it’s a minimal amount, you just have to tweak it just a tad .
night vision has exactly the same problem, we are looking at what the operator is seeing as perfect , to us the first thing we should be thinking if the image is not quite as good as it could be is the old bugger needs to go to specsavers 😂 maybe

and so my point is when we look at each other’s videos there’s only so much I feel we can take from them , I also feel this is why we hear so very often “ it’s looks so much better in the viewfinder “

to be honest I just like the different inputs. I believe we can all take something from them ,becouse there’s not one of us that are as good as we think we are .

just a quick edit to say here’s a great example, last night I popped for a couple of hours ( had a total blank ) I had my matei I think 41years old. . I spotted a hare around 200m away and was going on like a 5 year old saying blimey look how clear this is , he got behind the rifle and just laughed , called me an old blind **** and said I need my glasses on . I could have sworn it was clear as glass when I looked through it .

Certainly no offense taken, I completely get what you are saying, I’ll be the first to say I haven’t looked through one yet and fully accept comments about not being in a position to comment, as I’ve already said I never normally bother with threads like this because I’m at one with my gear and have faith in it.
BUT I’m busting a gut to see through a C50 as it’s giving me an itch out of curiosity now!
I can only go on the footage posted online and as I commented earlier in the thread yours is the best I’ve seen, maybe we have identical vision!! but never the less you do get the gist of what’s what and ive probably looked at every vid out there so far.
We are being told by a Pulsar dealer to buy one, they are the best all round unit out there, as you say the whole thing is subjective and in reality there’s no such thing.
Look out for me eating my words when I get a gander through one.

I know this may just sound like a cheep cop out , just another cliché but it really does seem to be what works for you .
bit like a sound mod , there all only as good as the environment there in , but that’s another horrible can of worms I have no desire to open ha ha . .

I remember my first NV a Yukon and although loads gave it a real hard time , I thought it was revolutionary.

Dave I’m sorry if you have already gone through this but what are you using ? I have a MacBook and I’ve just been informed I’m using an iPad Pro at the min . I have been using the stream vision 2 app but I’m going to try Ian’s method.
