Hi apologies for this random high jacking of this conversation. But do you not like your Sabatti ST18? I like it a lot, it took a while to decide to go for it, due to style and weight. But I really like it. Especially for its accuracy. Admittedly not everyone's first choice for stalking but I haven't had chance to do much.I'v got a New Sabatti ST18 6.5 CM , the round count will be x100 by end of day on the 24th as thats all I have and it comes with two mags . . £1450 and I can Del Saturday 24th eve on way home .
lots of rifles, lots of calibres capable of a mile. You wont be shooting a mile every time you are out so perhaps look at some of the smaller chamberings that can do the job without costing an arm and a leg to feed. What would you choose for shooting steel targets out to around a mile with a budget of around £2000, secondhand? Not interested in single shot target rifles, must have a magazine and will be handloading.
Cheers all for your opinions!
Its my long range rifle for target shooting yes its a marmite but it is more than capable of sub .5 moa . not somthing i would take stalking as it a tad heavy to lug around with a big IOR x56 and Ad mount and forth bridge bi-pod lolHi apologies for this random high jacking of this conversation. Hi, ST18 designed to be more tactical in appearance. Now has different barrel lengths 22, 24, & 26. So very similar to str 2 sport both with 22mm muzzle The str 2 sport FC version has a 28mm muzzle. Str more for target shooting (sporting appearance i.e comes in redWhat's the difference between the ST-18 and the STR mk2? I've been looking at getting one but cannot choose between them.
Sorry to hear, not tried the 300 WM. Only tried the 308 / 6.5 and 284. All were good, although for my needs I stick with 6.5 in my st18.It was the EVO that I had first then the 300 WM but i had issues with it ,then this, I do like how they shoot .
