Brilliant thank youBravecto, superb, our spaniel was covered in ticks, got her on the bravecto and not a single one for 7 months, noticed one on here the other day and got her back in for her next dose!
Fantastic stuff.

Just my tuppence, and every dog is individual, but I remain convinced that Bravecto led to epilitic sezieures in my current Hungarian Vizsla. She's my second rescue dog out of 5 Vizslas we have been fortunate to own and the Vizsla rescue organization recommended Bravecto. I read up before hand and, whilst paricularly the US has strong evidence to support this effect such that the FDA forced the maunufacturer to add specific warnings, that is not replicated in the UK. There are many satisfied users in the UK without issues and it is really easy and clean to dose but I took a chance despite my apprehension and will never use it again.

Bravecto/Isoxazoline "poisoning" or Idopathetic Epilesy in Hungarian Vizsla - any vets on here?
Prompted by another FB post, I thought I would update this post with an update on Ruby's situation after nearly 6 months since those fits. Since I stopped administering Bravecto there have been more more fits. Moreover, unlike me, she appears to have picked up no ticks DESPITE them being...www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk
Since those 3 fits and immediately stopping using Bravecto, she has never had another fit!

what are you guys finding the best to help keep them off the dog?
Surely you'll still be getting ticks on your dog. I thought Bravecto only kills them once they start feeding. It doesn't actually stop them getting on the dog it just reduces the time they are there.Bravecto, superb, our spaniel was covered in ticks, got her on the bravecto and not a single one for 7 months, noticed one on here the other day and got her back in for her next dose!

Isn't that just down to luck rather than the product. Not a single tick on the dog for 6-7 months.![]()
Not based on the number she had before that.Isn't that just down to luck rather than the product.
But she's either getting plenty of ticks and the product is killing them off before you notice them or she's not getting any ticks. There is nothing in Bravecto or Nexgard that stops ticks going onto the dog, for these products to actually work the dog needs ticks to feed. Not based on the number she had before that.
