Deer Central Sling

I bought a laminate stock Ruger M77 mk11 VT heavy barrel a couple of years ago, it wasn't threaded for a moderator and on reflection it was an impulse buy.. However, I stuck with it, had a moderator fitted and had a Staffordshire Synthetic Stock made which is just amazing but it still weighs 11.5LB..now, I'm DSC2 and I shoot for Scottish Woodland up in the borders and this is my main deer rifle and although I love it, it's a bugger to keep on my shoulder.. I tried everything, Vorn Rucksac, niggleoh rucksack sling and various other types of sling, all to no avail. I decided to give the Z-Aim sling a go but the only one I could find online was a tiny gunshop in Northern Ireland. It arrived and my god is it good.. I could have saved a fortune had I bought one earlier.. However, I've since found out that Z-Aim have gone bust so I bought a similar design sling from Deer Central for my other rifle.. It arrived and I have to say that its even better than the Z-Aim.. The webbing is thicker and stronger and the leather/suede padded strap is far better than the neoprene..I don't often make my views public because it's generally a very personal choice but when something comes along that is worthy of a mention, and it's British made, then I'll give it a plug..give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

Good to here. The webbing on the z aim was a problem in the sense it would often blow about when the rifle was on sticks and the buckle clattered against the sticks.

I have been looking into something like this for a more comfortable carry.
Prefer to walk and stalk.
How do you find it with getting the rifle ready to shoot? is it quick and easy or does it take a little more time than traditional sling?

It takes a split second longer.. There's a clip on the strap that goes across your chest, just unclip it and take your rifle off the shoulder as usual.. I think there's a YouTube clip from Deer Central....yes there is, just checked..👍

Thanks I may get one and see how I get on. More useful to have the comfort whilst carrying than the once in a blue moon need for a very quick off hand shot.

Hi! Do let us know if you have bought from us and are not happy for some reason. Good service and knowledgeable advice is what you pay for from us. The reason for the discount was detailed on the Deer Central Pro Sling product page but has been updated since. It was a product in development and the discount was for those who wanted to put thier money forward in advance of its release. We knew we would have to review the price once costs had be reassessed. P&p starts at £7.99 and reduces to free shipping the more you spend so at a final checkout price of £60ish we still think it is underpriced for a high quality handmade leather product made in the UK. We are struggling to keep up with demand but we have more black coming in this week and more brown will follow. the best chance of getting one before Christmas is by preordering. You may also see some more Z aim slings on the shelf .... never say never!... but please don't send messages asking when as we don't know!
