Tip Of The Week

If anyone has used a lamp that attaches to their scope, you've most likely found the spill catches the moderator and glares in your scope, ending with you not being able to see what the lamp is illuminating.

....I use a 67mm lamp and nipped into B&Q and picked up a 68mm downpipe (guttering) straight connector. A quick wrap of tape on the lamp and push it on. Now the spill is caught and no more glare off your moderator.

If your bolt is harder to close than normal check why rather than knocking it closed. Ironically I had only deep cleaned my rimfire yesterday but by this morning something with lots of legs had managed to find it’s way into the right extractor recess!

I use the back of emptied 100 primer white plastic holders CCI as mixing do-das for 2 component Aralditing as they have 4x compartments so get to use them 4 times.
Its the least the primer companies can do at those prices.

Other way is to put duct tape over 3/4 over the scope's objective lens.

Purchase a length of interesting tweed, being sold for charity is a nice touch, and also some waxed cloth to make your own roll-up shooting blanket seat/rifle rest:

Not seen it mentioned.
Don't be scared to take the stock off and clean all the metal you cannot see. Zero won't be affected.
Store rifles muzzle down. Oil the barrel and it all flows down the the bottom. Dry patch and you're good to go.
