Hi,

Does anyone use either of the 130 gr Fox Classic Hunter or 126.5 gr Yew Tree with N133 or N130 ?

I realise that the loaded cartridges from Edinburgh Rifles with the 130 gr Fox bullet use N135 so probably the optimum powder. However if possible I would like to use some of my existing powders, N133 or N130.

Looking at the Vihtavuori site the powders listed for there 130 gr Barnes TSX BT list loads for N130, N133, N135 & N140. Would it be a fair starting point to use the Barnes data for the Fox or Yew Tree ? or am I missing something ? Are N130 & N133 to fast a powder ?

Rifle has a 20 " barrel on my .308win.

Thanks

Fox Data is on the Viht site

You can run 133/130 under 130gr Fox also
here: (NB, these are approximate max loads, knock a grain or so off and work up. NOTE the OAL to the tip)
Factory data is here: Fox Non Lead Bullets – Edinburgh Rifles (bottom of the page)
45gr N133 at 69.5gr to the tip

I have data for N133 for the 126.5 in .308 win, a few people are using that combination. By all means drop me a line.
Cheers
