Muntjac Deer Distribution

But the M6 wasn’t built until 1958?
😃 Just to give you the location. That particular junction was in the middle of a large birch wood of which remnants still remain either side of the A road. It was shot by our village keeper when he was a beat man for the Earl of Aylesford on Packington estate and I believe the animal is in Coventry museum. I remember hunting a pack of beagles near to what now is M6 junction 5 for the last time, meeting at Delwyn Levi's farm Water Orton, and exercising point to pointers along the line of the future M6 between 4&5.
By the way that section was started in 68 not 58. I set out a Syphon sewer in 65 along the canal and had to avoid what was going to be Spaghetti junction foundations as an exercise for RE's.
Here endeth local history lesson.🤗

This map is out of date. There are Muntjac around Deal in East Kent, which does not show on this map.
They have a HGV license then? ;)
I never saw any while I was out on the pigeons at Ledgers farms. Now it is history for me as I gave up my UK FAC a year ago.

I will have a look around with the thermal when I come over in March then. It would surprise me as roe are not local which I thought might be because of the chalk soil in East Kent.
