Hello all
I'm not posting this to gripe at what's happened to my Hardox target , I've only posted to show people the punishment and abuse these targets can withstand.
In the picture is my 12yr old Hardox fox target this has been hit many many times, if I was to put a number on it I'd say 1500--1700 times.
Calibres used on the target .204 , .223 ,243 , 6.5CM ,7mm-08 & .308 .At ranges of 100--300m.
As you can see in the picture is the bow caused by the impacts of the hits, I have shot the reverse of the target, but this has still happened .
I measured the bow and its15mm at the deepest .The target has always been free hanging ,with a slight down slant to deflect splatter downwards.
I have always considered my Hardox targets to be a consumable / perishable part of my shooting , and something that will wear out .
So apart from the bow in the target , there is a hole from where a round punched through and a crack between its ears from head shot hits.
The red dots on the target are just aiming points . My .204 is the most damaging to Hardox and speed kills .
I've treated myself to a new reactive fox target ,that hasn't been christened yet. So this is just a quick few lines of something different for people to see.
