Pan for boiling off red stag head

Might have been asked before but couldn’t find in the search.

I had a red stag head that I want to European mount but can’t find a pan big enough at the moment!!

Any ideas on good sites online?

Ta in advance.

The only thing I’ve found big enough and the right shape is one of the old style tin baths that’s oblong shaped with handles at both ends? Holds about 20lt of water but being oval in shape allows the head to sit under water more horizontally meaning the top/back of the skull is submerged. 1682939114206.jpeg

Any metal drum will do,even a paint drum.

My method is to stack a few bricks with old star posts over top to support the drum but importantly I have a sheet of old roof iron with s hole cut out to not only support the antlers but to stop flames coming up the side of the drum during a rollicking boil.
Decent fire means a quick continuous boil...handful of washing powder cuts the grease too.
Antlers below are in London btw.

I’m intrigued with all the burco recommendations as every time I’ve seen a stag head in one the top portion of the skull cap is above the water line? How do you expect to get the grease and flesh out of that portion if all it gets is a bit of steam? I much prefer a shallower oblong shape which allows it to sit more horizontally and cover right up to the coronets,

spot on, used one many times and the top always comes out a bit iffy with blood sometimes showing for a while in the top of the suture line. not a great/ideal solution, but there really isn't a 'great' solution out there sadly.

There is….. post number 4…… works a charm!

I use a metal dustbin which was cut to size using an angle grinder. Picked up a dented one very cheap from b and q.
