Target/dialing scopes?

On that reasoning you are pretty much left between choosing Vortex or Leupold (I'd pick the latter everytime).

However, some scopes are just less likely to break from the outset. Warranty is all fine and good but I'd rather not need it.

Nightforce are excellent and reply to their customer contact immediately. I wouldn’t hesitate buying Nightforce and I would choose them over Vortex or Leupold.

I would rather not need it as well. But knowing it’s there is a reassuring.

Leupold are good.

I use an NX8 4-32X50, it's very good, tracking is solid. Other options for reliable dialling scopes that won't hurt your pocket so much are available.
What reticle does your scope have?
I’m not a fan of the MOAR-CF2D. I’d like a MOAR-T but they seam to be all sold out in UK. Not sure if they are just struggling for them or they just aren’t importing them?

Mine is the MOAR-CF2D, as I prefer a floating dot centre as opposed to a cross. I actually swapped my FFP MOAR NX8 for this one.

Have used an NX8. Good, bomb proof bit of kit. No worries buying one of them.

I had a Kahles 624i for ages. Probably should not have sold it. They are hugely under rated scopes and glass, so there are some good prices available. Swarovski wi turrets and FFP. If you look second hand you want to make sure you buy Gen 3.

Also running a March at the mo. Nice compact scope, typical Japanese. Again some deals to be had. My only observation is that the focus is a bit sensitive, but so what it works.

Have also used Leupold. Was ok, dunno just didn't get the juices flowing ?

If I was buying again it would be a Kahles, but am happy with the March and would never say no to Nightforce.

Yes, I fancy a MOAR-T which has a floating dot. The CF2D just looked to fine and the dot looked to small for me?

This is the difficulty of not actually looking through the scopes. The FFP scopes have a very fine reticle on lower mags, which makes for a sort of basic crosshair, then come into their own when at higher mag, allowing the reticle to be used instead of dialling. The SFP reticles are good for long range target work, always giving a fine aim point, but at the expense of being perhaps a tad fine if in low light.
I have a 2.5-20x50 in SFP Mil-CF2, which I think is a better balance for use as a stalking scope as well as good for medium range target/steel.
