I have just come across this article. I have to say that I do not have a clue how true it is but if there is any truth in it could Covid be spreading through deer in the UK and should stalkers be "cautious". (Click on the MSN link to read the full article)
Any thoughts Gents?

It's been on ongoing topic for a while now. Discussed on here a few times.
I worry about a repeat of the salmonella in eggs debacle and the fiasco of BSE, two loads of nonsense that brought the poultry and beef industries to their knees for absolutely no reason whatsoever as it turned out. It matters not that the perceived risk was non-existent - people always believe the first headline, not the correction.
The last thing we want now is for the venison market to go down the pan as a result of a false food scare.

You are absolutely correct there. The Salmonella in eggs was a complete farce and the BSE didn't have any worrying effects except to drive the British beef producers near to collapse!
I was not trying in any way to spread any sort of fear, just highlighting an article that could in fact be "questionable".
