Hi Sprocker,A
Agreed, but depends what I’ve got left hanging around in the truck, whether or not I leave the keys in it somewhere. Last time (and only time) I lost them was out food shopping and it was ball ache enough on the mainland to get sorted.
Hi FinnI always hide my keys within 50 yards of the car, making a mark in my minds eye, never had bother picking them up on returning.
Thankfully, it was found under his seat
My keys look like they belong to Ruthin Gaol.Hi Finn
What's wrong with a zipped pocket ?
Chill

Thankfully, for those running Android, Find my Device is enabled by default. I can only think your friend had disabled it, or location services, in some way. Also, the Android version of AirTag is due imminent release (I've a pre-order that should ship any time now).Having misplaced my iPhone on the Dyemills beat having find my device activated on the lost device and a second Apple product (iPad in this case) in the car means you should be able to find it more easily - that's why I recommend an Air Tag for keys (car, quad, etc). In that instance, the iPad showed the phone just by the Eastern boundary of the beat so on our way home I went to the nearby farm, got the owners permission to drive to the FLS boundary, hopped over the fence and eventually found the phone by getting it to make a sound.
The following day, my partner lost his Android phone and he had not set up the Android equivalent![]()
Just as a bit of an aside..... make sure you're match fit....make sure you've been doing a bit of hill walking with your gear on and you're ready to stretch your legs a bit. The hilly ground on Arran can be quite punishing and the weather can change very rapidly. Lovely place to be (as long as the ferries are working!) and you'll want to go back there again!Great thanks for the advice, I am getting the kit list ready and spending the children's inheritance. Hotel Booked and awaiting release of ferry timetable.
Thanks! You keep the head they keep the carcass
