Robust inflatable cushion / seat pad

Does such a thing exist?? They all seem to last a few outings before springing random small leaks and going flat very quickly while sat on. I often stalk for a while and then have a sit in a highseat so it's handy to have something small and inflatable in my pocket to keep the bum warm.

Any suggestions - noting small, foldable, fits in pocket etc?

I have had this for 17 years now it is used 2-3 times per week in a high seat and still looks like new. I even used it as my pillow when I camped in the USA back in 2007. It will not fit in a pocket but it is so light hung around my neck and down over my left side that I do not notice it.

I've got one of these. Warm and waterproof and folds up small and quickly too.

I tried an inflatable one but in order to stop it going flat in the middle and then just sitting.on material and no air it needed pumping up quite a bit. This then made it surprisingly wobbly and unstable to shoot from.

I've got one of these and rate it. I've got another one which is just foam and a bit lighter as well. Folds up the same way.

Ah, I just checked and mine is actually made by thermarest so a “reputable brand” and I dare say somewhat more than the cost of those ones. But, I’ve had it more than 10 years, and it’s still going strong, so I guess the cry once but once things stands!

I have a double layer Lodon cloth gunslip that goes over the rifle. It then becomes a very comfortable seat if sitting on the ground, on a log or in a high seat.

The inflatable cushions are great for a high seat but never big enough to ensure a totally dry and toasty bum when deployed on the ground. I therefore gave up on them and made myself a tweed & waxed cotton mat that can double as a rifle rest when rolled into its carry bag:

I have used loden felt ones for a few years (like Bavarianbrit posted about). They don’t fit in a pocket but mine goes in roe sack or just hung over shoulder if it’s a short walk to a high seat.

I use them out hiking as well, and anywhere i might be sat for a while. I’m only in the next village if you want to try one for a bit, I have a spare.
