Courteney boots

Had a pair and wore them stalking in the U.K for about 5 years. Didn’t cut the mustard for UK stalking due to dew and wet grass. Probably great for Africa, but there’s better options for the U.K.

I wear these and they are amazing - Grünten

Now they are worn in, almost 7 years later, they are perfect and still the best boots I own. Wear them as day boots around town 5/7 days, winter days and look great in Levi’s 😃 they stand next to my highland and mountaineering boots - mammoth (ex Raichle) monoliths. Those have climbed some crazy ridges in the U.K., and done a lot of highland stalking as well.

The Monoliths are great for mountain climbing and highland stalking - there’s severe cuts to these from free climbing the wrong route up the Curved Ridge at Storb Dearg - where I almost lost my life after going off route into vertical walls without ropes and wearing scrambling boots 😂

I use them for summer stalking and really like them as a cool summer boot,. But I do agree with @triggertrix not great in the wet however I only use them on dry days. Very comfortable boot for hot dry days, whether stalking or casual wear.

I used to wear them regularly for work and play, as above drier months, but they are fantastic, I’ve recently been trying some vivobarefoot boots for lightweight day to day stuff and these are waterproof (I would take that with a pinch but I got them soaked the other day and they certainly were better thank I expected, but for lightweight silent footwear I’m finding them very comfy

I am a big Courteney fan but agree that there are better options for the UK. I would look at the Rogue boot offerings.

They look like a very nice well made pair of boots

Love my Courteney boots, been worn in Africa, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and Warwickshire. Early morning stalking through wet grass will result in wet feet. In summer I often wear my Scarpa Crux.

Unlined Lundhags. One pair of socks summer two pair in winter also tall and keep wet grass moisture out unlike a lot of fabric boots

Mine are currently tramping around Limpopo.

They could do with a clean.

Not sure I would wear them for Stalking in the summer, especially if there is (there always is), the chance of rain.
