Sad news

Keith was one of the people I got to know in person, through this site , over a decade ago. A really fantastic person. Without the SD I’d have never have known him.
Sikamalc, you should be very proud of the positivity and kindness that you have enabled to flourish through your hard work in creating this website.
Kindest regards, Olaf
Thank you for your kind words.

However it is the members of this site, such as Keith, that makes this site what it is, and what it stands for. I am sure there are many friendships been created through the site. I myself have met a number of members that have become firm friends.
The sites success is also down to my two colleagues, one of whom is not able to contribute so much these days, and also Alex (csl) who keeps all the IT side running smoothly. To whom I am very grateful.

I am still looking into how we can keep Keith's memory alive on this site. I am thinking of maybe our annual DSC 1 courses that the site offers being renamed as the
Keith Robinson DSC1 Memorial course. What do people think ?

The sponsored DSC1 courses are already up and running via this site, so perhaps it would be nice to offer something different in Keith's memory?
A course is a good idea, and given that his speciality was refrigeration, and he helped out so many of us with carcass storage issues, how about funding a couple of people each year to do their LANTRA Large Game Meat Hygiene Certificate, now that it's no longer part of DSC1?

We could tag a couple onto the Level 1 course. However I would rather get the approval from the family before we proceed with any course etc, using Keith's name.

Just a idea as you run DSC1 could we not bring a young shooters program in Keith's name
Yes I also thought of that too. But to finance it every year and find an appropriate candidate would not be easy. But its worth considering. Lets wait and get approval from Keith's family first.

Malc I think what ever the SD team decide will be a fitting tribute to a great guy who I did not get the chance to ever meet.
But read a few of his comments in the past and SD as helped to forge so many friendship's to us folk's
So keep up the good work folk's

Grateful to members purchasing from Keith's effects.
There will be much more soon, as Keith was also a member of shall we say the "Magpie club"
He was also an avid skilled fisherman, A more informed friend will be dealing with his fishing kit .... just a small example of his "Other sporting interests":tiphat:
