How do I dispose of bulk carcasses?

Just a quick question as I am looking at expanding into decoy shooting, What do I do with all the dead crows, pigeons etc? I have no problem when rough shooting, as we either eat or dispose of in the hedge, as we generally only shoot a few. I am not sure what I would do with a few hundred. Any advice ?

if you pick them up it has to be legal method of disposal of waste. no one should advise you to dump in a ditch or on a bonfire. if the landowner wants free pest control waste dissposal should be their problem

2 options I've seen folk do.

First one is to find local falconry guys, they're apparently very happy to take bulk off shooters. BUT must be steel shot, however from what I've heard (from a falconer) they are willing to pay a premium for good birds.

Second is a lot more legwork but if you join the Facebook group "Giving Up the Game" and advertise any time you have excess, assuming you're not in the arse end of nowhere, things go fairly quickly.

If you don’t have an outlet via dealer/other, don’t shoot them. IMHO

This was discussed on one of the pigeon shooting Facebook groups. Consensus was most in favour of if you're shooting for pest control/farmer wants them not to be hammering his crop, then you've got to shoot them, even if you need to throw the excess in the skip. Maybe different if it's your own land, but the majority of replies on there were of the opinion that if they didn't shoot just because the meat would be wasted, then they'd be losing their permissions faster than you could blink.

Ask the land owner as shooting a "few hundred" is quite a feat also at todays prices a big cost. If it is corvids then make sure your have a place to dump them on the farm. Pigeons can go to a game dealer, a local ferret rescue centre takes as many as you can give her.
Days like this need great consideration as how they are looked after with several hrs of shooting the birds need keeping in the shade which in turn is a lot of work.

Can you tell us anyplace you can sell dead crows ? Feral pigeon ? first and foremost they are pests and they have no use or market . Now i 100% get use what can be used but a lot of pest control is about things that cannot be used . What next ? Fox burgers ?
