22-250 copper bullets

Hi, i was wondering if their are eny copper ammunition available for the 22-250 at the moment as iam looking to buy a new rifle, or are these calibres exempt from lead ban, eny help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine is a 1-7.75 ,so basically an 8 twist

Works very well with copper bullets and lead 69gr tmks

Current proposals is that lead free is not imposed on calibres smaller than 6 mm so I wouldn’t sweat it. If they do ban it factory options for 1:14 will come available so I still wouldn’t sweat it.

I would however learn to reload, as the world is then (almost) your oyster.

I wouldn't buy a new 1:14 rifle if your plan is to use lead free. The BC of suitable lead free bullets isn't great so you can't make the most of the 22-250's performance.

For that money you could get a T3 rebarrled and dropped into a PSE stock

Schulz & Larsen does a 1:10" barrel I think.

Tikka has done some specials with a 1:8" barrel but I'm sure that it would be easier to get a custom barrel fitted.

Bergara to a 1-9 I’m sure ?? I put a new barrel on mine and made it a custom 1-9. I’m no sure who else does a fast twist as I build all mine I tend no to buy factory rifles
