Thats my le chameau wellies now leaking and its time to get a new pair in the january sales. I have been looking at the new musto pelton wellies, does anyone know if these wellies are any good? Would like to hear some reviews before I set my mind on buying a pair.

cheers!

have you tried wader repair its like i got some for my le chameau boots they started leaking in the toe good dollop of this repair and good as new

its in the toe and heel mines are leaking. where do you get the wader repair? i would much rather repair them, will save buying a new pair

crow man i would be slighty wary of those wellies as they are for sale as the are imperfect. They might not offer the guarantee with them

for your boots

It is very good stuff, I have used it on waders and walking boots for years, a tip for you, do it in two layers, making sure the second layer covers the first with plenty of overlap, and that it is not too thick round the edges.
Also once opened the tube has very little shelf life, you may get another month or you may not.

The Musto Pelton's are very good and do not carry the heavy price tag that the Le Chameau's have.
Glue works but i would have a pair of Pelton's on hand as a back up.

If the musto Pelton's are the zip up neoprene wellys they are not a patch on the Le Chameau's I bought a pair and you get what you pay for just wish you could replace the zips in the Chameau's

Aquaseal is what your looking for, because it's a flexable urathane it dos'nt remain rigid (flexes). Where as other glues do while the

rubber under the repair will, thus working free. It's one of the best out there.

Expect to pay up to a £10.

Rgds, Buck.

Just got a pair of Hunter Bamboo Carbon and like them a lot, a couple of keeper mates have them and recomended them highly.
Stay away from Le Chameau!!! After having a pair of the neoprene lined wellies the Hunters are a dream! I've vowed never to buy Le Crap again, over priced, poor quality, don't get me started on the leather/kevlar boots, and the wost after care service I've come across.

Me and my stalking partner have Just purchased a pair of these to act as a second pair and am really impressed they feel every bit as good on as my Le Chameau neoprene zip ones, they are a nice tight fit and seam slightly warmer the sole is also a bit stiffer with better grip.

Had a pair of Hunter neoprene (Bamboo carbon I think or Balmoral) and the Seeland feel much better on.

The last pair of zip Le Chameau I purchased a few months ago had a different zip compared to one I have had in the past they do seem to have sorted the zip issue its a permanent wire now that cant come off.

I've been using le chams for quite a few years and feel the quality is definately going down and the price going up way too much. Will be shopping around when these ones wear out. A lot of folk seem to swear by muckboots, but I'm not convinced.

Its good stuff ok, the best way to store it is in the freezer, having excluded all air from the tube and you can get 6 months from it.

I think that the Le Chameu Range of wellies are ****.they must be designed to be used on a peg 1 day a year.
i bough the full zip leather lined pair and apparently because i did not clean the wellies of dirt the zip broke, they quoted £70 to fix,
I SENT A LETTER SAYING THEY'RE FUKIN WELLIES THEYRE SUPPOSED TO BE DIRTY.
Now i have a pair of the aigle neoprene lined and theyre very confortable, maybe a little warm in summer but very good.
I have also got a pair of the muck boots but theyr'e slippery as hell on wet grass, they must be the boating type wellies.

I've just received a pair of Solognac Neoprene wellies for christmas and so far I rate them as better than the Le Chameau that they replaced. On the Le Chams the foot-bed rotted and almost disintegrated. I made do for a couple of years using various insoles, but they were never truly comfortable. I also found the Le Chams to be very tightly sized and that made them a very cold boot. The solognac ones are roomy enough to allow wearing a decent pair of socks. It's not been cold enough yet to give an opinion on how well they'll keep my feet warm, but they look alot more promising than the Le Chameaus.

I have just repaired my Aigle wellies with Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive , exellent results on a rip and blackthorn holes in the soles
