He’s gone I believe? Never got on with the fella as he told me to do things for an open condition which I did and he then went back on his promise.
 
Police should be stripped of the control, they are not fit for purpose. Cambs lied on my certificate that it was renewed on time. If leicestershire are as dishonest/inept good luck.
 
Stevie/P thanks for o rings back on topic mine are due first week of Jan. and took the forms in teusday lady in front office stamped recieved and said cctv will confirm i handed the forms over just got to be patient and wait

I do believe Rob Nixon is the chief constable, the PCC is Rupert Matthews. Might be worth politely letting them know as I don't think they would be aware, but I wouldn't hold your breathe for a snappy reply.

Did they send a letter of continuation ? Norfolk did a while back when mine expired as they did to a few friends
 
If you apply more than 8 weeks prior to expiry, and they cannot complete the renewal process prior to expiry, Police are obliged to issue a Section 28b Extension, valid for a further 8 weeks.
 
So I’ve had a letter from Leicestershire stating as they haven’t received my renewal paperwork, which is due mid December I may end up holding weapons illegally. I dropped the GP paperwork in the morning of receiving my renewal paperwork. The online renewal form says I need to attach the gp stuff to my application, so how can I proceed with it if I don’t have this piece of info they now require?

I haven’t as the for, clearly states you need to submit it with the GP form, which I was told would be 30 days from my request. I dropped that in on the Monday after receiving the paperwork for renewal. I’ve emailed asking my FEO to call me, don’t even know who that is as I’ve had zero contact with them. New process is fine, but don’t threaten with this letter of potential prosecution, put guns into storage etc. not impressed.

I shouldn’t worry too much Leicestershire are reasonable dpt it’ll turn up no doubt
Did you photo copy the Gp documents or submitted the original.
 
Not had them back. That’s the issue. Dropped the form off to go asap after getting renewal paperwork. Told it would take 30 days. If they want to add these processes without actually telling people they need to send renewal stuff out earlier to allow for these holdups.
 
Spoke to the super helpful Sue this afternoon and explained what had gone on. She advised me that it was accepted to add a dummy document to the gp form upload as they expected them to hold the process up. Long and short I’ve done my renewal tonight but still want to speak to my FEO.

All good then sue Roberts is always on the ball with general enquiries as I’ve commented before Leicestershire are very good.
