Spoke to the super helpful Sue this afternoon and explained what had gone on. She advised me that it was accepted to add a dummy document to the gp form upload as they expected them to hold the process up. Long and short I’ve done my renewal tonight but still want to speak to my FEO.

Hope you dont mind me asking, do you have a number for Sue Roberta's I need to speak to someone who can actually give me an update on my FAC rather than just saying we're understaffed?

Police should be stripped of the control, they are not fit for purpose. Cambs lied on my certificate that it was renewed on time. If leicestershire are as dishonest/inept good luck.

Collected GP form this morning. Emailed copy to firearms. I’m 9 weeks from expiry so fingers crossed it goes smoothly.

Positive feedback for Leicestershire firearms. Had a call from my new FEO last week asking if I’d be ok with a new type of renewal which is done over a video call. Planned for today, and sure enough the link arrived and the call started. Very pleasant chap called Paul. Went through the formalities and showed each gun with serial number and mods plus storage. Had a chat about Land approval and my closed condition on the 308 which seemed daft as I have open on other cf calibres. Sent him screenshots of my ZEISS ap that I log all kills on with boundaries etc showing. He was surprised how much we shoot. Got a message this afternoon to say the land we discussed has been upgraded to 308 and also he has sorted the 308 also being open, very impressed with the way he acted and also nice to speak to a human!

Glad to hear it. I've got my renewal with leics in sept and a mate in march. Hopefully it all goes swimmingly.
