Advice sought - Binos

I am in the market fir a bew pair as well. Last two evenings I have been out looking for sika stags and borrowed a pair of Vortex diamondback 10 x 50s.
I have to say I was very impressed and will be purchasing a pair as soon as possible. Lifetime guarantee which is great too.
Another friend has new Vortex range finding binos, I think they are 8 x 42 and he is very pleased with them. I think they cost £1200.

Hi!
I've been on Nikon monarch 7 and Swaros El 8x42

Recently bought GPO range finding binoculars 8x32 and truly like them.

Light bright and extremely accurate at ranging

Cheers

Guys, thank you all for the top tips. Lots to think about and after a mad day at work am looking forward to a bit of admin tomorrow. Really grateful

I find Vortex Vipers good for price point having recently bought a pair. I shoot mainly at last light so low light performance is important to me. I had Diamondbacks when starting out and held onto them for about 10 years - again good for the price but they were showing their age by the end. The Vipers are several levels above and compare well against fellow stalkers bins especially older premium brands like Swarovski which (to my eyes) I was underwhelmed with. I also think if you want / need true low light performance probably best to steer clear of Intergrated LRF, but have no direct evidence to support this. Glass coatings have improved hugely in the last 5-10 years, something to bear in mind when considering older SH. I know it’s been said before, but you really ought to factor in the warranty arrangements: these are expensive bits of kit subject to outdoor use. A simple drop can render them useless or needing £100’s to repair. With Vortex that worry is simply taken away - no quibble.

I bough my lad a pair of Minox HG off eBay, excellent quality, and the HG version use schott glass, same as Leica and Swarovski.

Cased pair of Zeiss B/GAT T*P* in either 7/42 or 8/56, with all round lens protection, spare lens caps, both pairs in excellent condition and well within your budget?

Zeiss fl range s hand will be in your budget. I have a pair of 8x32 fl, great binos v light but prefer the mag of the 10x42 victory rf I have bought since.

The Meopta binoculars are very good and very fair price, IOR use to make military ones they are as hard as nails, I have a couple of pairs, use them for work

I managed to try out s few pairs of Vortex over the last few days and have decided on a pair of Vortex Diamondback in 10 x 42.

Ones that shouldn’t be forgotten about are the delta titanium HD 9x45 LRF. Extremely good value for money with excellent lowlight optics and the pinger is bang on. Little bit more money but you can’t go wrong with them.

Richard Utting (SharpshootUK) review of them:

I'll bet a fiver that Leupold will take care of your gold rings. However, Vortex has recently come out with a Razor UHD line and there may be some deals available on the new but older Razor HD models. That would be close to your price range. Vortex also has a discount program for first responders and military both active duty and retired.
