Kents wild boar

Here in Bavaria they are looked on by farmers and hunters as a pest to be controlled. The hunters do, as has been the case for many years have to pay the farmers for damage to the fields or crops caused by game animals from roe red fallow badgers and boars. It can worst case run into 20K€s, be careful of what you wish for.

The only place I can see their range expanding is in northern Scotland. As I understand it they are now north of Inverness. With vast areas of forestry and farmland in the lower areas, it gives them more scope and space and more of a chance to expand their range in my opinion.

Down here, especially in the SE, its farmland and small wooded areas, and as soon as they show up, they get shot, without, no doubt, in some cases whether its a sow with piglets.

Is that really so very different from paying for stalking rights?
