I can see this thread rumbling on and on.
There are always two sides to every story in my opinion. However as I have many years experience of outfitting, and have travelled and hunted a fair bit around some parts of the world I think any good outfitter/guide would go out of their way to ensure that some kind of re arrangement at limited cost was arranged as compensation, or a refund given that leaves the outfitter covering his costs, but not making any income, at the time.
Anyone stalking with me, on the very very rare occassion you don't see deer, gets a free stalk back. It has happened maybe once or twice due to horrendous weather conditions. But its only fair in my book.
Driven Boar shooting is always a bit of a lottery, depends where your peg is and how the drive pans out. BUT what I will add is that coming up with excuses such as the clients were too slow, didn't see properly, couldn't shoot is bad form. All that is going to do is make the clients more angry, and taking them for fools. In most instances the majority of them have probably more hunting experience than those conducting the hunt.
Not the way to handle, clients and the situation.
Bad words always spread quickly in the hunting world, and now with social media its even quicker. Not every client one has is as experienced as they claim to be, or has too high an expectation of the hunt. It would seem that in this particular case there are a number of people who are dissatisfied with what occurred. I hope for all parties concerned that some amicable arrangement can be made.
