The worst driven boar trip I've ever had - Anatolia Safaris

If your shooting a driven day on an area that had been shot a few days before then your not going to have a good day, feral dogs or not.
I saw plenty of feral dogs in town in Turkey, but not one while out hunting. Saw very few boar as well.
A large carcass can last up to a week or there may have been more than one carcass so the planned hunt may have ben based on the number of boar seen in that area previously.

It is unfortunate to see this forum used as leverage against our company despite these pre-established terms. Such unfounded claims undermine the impartiality of this platform, and we trust the administrators to evaluate these accusations carefully.
Don't know how you negotiate in Turkay, but I hardly believe member kingstonandy was trying to use SD as leverage. It's just not Western negotiation strategy to play all your cards (=tell how badly the hunt went from customer perspective) and then hope for some reimbursement etc. from other party.

More like Andy was trying to share bad experience in order to save other members' money.

Watched few videos from linked site. Regarding the one with "missed shots", while wideangle camera (like smartphone) does make the distances look longer, the shot opportunity was non-existent to say the least. Don'tknow how much the host was encouraging the guest to take the shots.

Perhaps a repeat hunt at big discounts?

That boars were coming hill down and the distance was until 50 meter. Then they went hill up same way back. On other hand, please check our Agreement. We newer guarantee a spesıfıc number of boars and there is any rule about the refund. We do a very big discount that they come back and we repead the hunt.
Tusker
Yes, we did

I can see this thread rumbling on and on.

There are always two sides to every story in my opinion. However as I have many years experience of outfitting, and have travelled and hunted a fair bit around some parts of the world I think any good outfitter/guide would go out of their way to ensure that some kind of re arrangement at limited cost was arranged as compensation, or a refund given that leaves the outfitter covering his costs, but not making any income, at the time.

Anyone stalking with me, on the very very rare occassion you don't see deer, gets a free stalk back. It has happened maybe once or twice due to horrendous weather conditions. But its only fair in my book.

Driven Boar shooting is always a bit of a lottery, depends where your peg is and how the drive pans out. BUT what I will add is that coming up with excuses such as the clients were too slow, didn't see properly, couldn't shoot is bad form. All that is going to do is make the clients more angry, and taking them for fools. In most instances the majority of them have probably more hunting experience than those conducting the hunt.
Not the way to handle, clients and the situation.

Bad words always spread quickly in the hunting world, and now with social media its even quicker. Not every client one has is as experienced as they claim to be, or has too high an expectation of the hunt. It would seem that in this particular case there are a number of people who are dissatisfied with what occurred. I hope for all parties concerned that some amicable arrangement can be made.

We newer wante to make hunters angry but. The beaters reported that several herds were driven toward the hunters' positions, but shots were not taken at critical moments. In driven hunts, a single strategic shot can significantly change the outcome. We would like to have happy hunters. Our Sucsess rate is %95. The Problem is happy hunters doesnt writte on the forums. I would like to repaed the hunt for our cost prices, but I cant do minus bussines. I hope this story comes to a happy End. This is our first experiance with a Forum. we did all our best and still we are tring to make the hunters happy.

To be Devil's advocate,...................... 35 shots? 3 Boar? I think there may two sides to a story here?
You are totaly right. Thank you for your understanding. There are many Factors that can disturb the contorl of the hunt. What we can do, we can try one more time untill we get the sucsess...

I would beg to differ there. Happy hunters often put up a reference about their hunt. One only has to look at the write ups on this site. No disrespect Osman, that again is not what I have seen over 40 plus years outfitting.

If clients are happy, they mostly re book, and tell others. This is the best form of advertising you can get. And it costs NOTHING. Although I don't want to become too involved with this issue you have, I would say that with every respect to you and your organisation, you need to maybe re think how you present your business.

I wish you good luck and respect in an industry that is not as easy as many think it is.

I have so many videos with happy hunters . I would like to make all hunter happy. We did all our best.for this hunt but Driven Wild Boar Hunting is the most difficult hunt where the Outfitters dont have %100 control. I would like to repead the hunt again and make the hunter happy. You can see in this Forum hunter, hunted with me. Here you can see his experiances and happines with our company.

I have just seen this review today. As a keen hunter myself, it is always sad to hear about unfortunate hunting experiences. I did a boar hunt myself about 3 years ago in southern Turkey in the Taurus mountains with the same outfitter- Anatolia Safaris . I must say to the contrary that my experience with Osman Kinder and the team from Anatolia Safaris were absolutely faultless. Osman went out of his way to make this hunt a success. My package was for trophy boar for 5 days hunting- mainly at night.
The logistics were spot on with the accommodation and meals superb. I have taken 4 boar with two of them having exceptionally long tusks and massive bodies. Night time boar hunting, I may add, would be more predictable , and although we were hunting hard until late night/ early hours of the morning, it was an experience of a lifetime in the Taurus mountains. We were also accompanied by a government Wild Life official on each hunt to verify the boar taken. Wild boar are extremely switched on and intelligent creatures which makes it more challenging. Osman and his team also went out of their way to help me with the night vision set-up on the .308 I took with me. That paid off. I would give night hunting for wild boar a try which may give a better opportunity to bag that elusive one. As for myself I have found that driven hunts are too unpredictable . I have unfortunately also been on hunts that did not go 100% and this is sometimes very hard to swallow. I just thought I would share my experience with this outfitter with you. I Wish you guys better luck next time round.

I got this reply this morning.
Hello Brit,
As you have found out here, there is also a review of Anatolia Safaris and Osman Kandir in the current edition of the German hunting magazine for foreign hunts "Jagen Weltweit". [JWW]. From a German/Austrian group that was probably there right before you and experienced something similar. Send your report about the hunt to Jagen Weltweit. They will certainly be happy to print something like that as a letter to the editor.
Greetings,
Lydia

Thanks Lydia for yòur input
What kills me is someone stealing 6 days of my life and then trying to make me out to be an idiot. He must be stopped

I'm hunting for 60 years. Driven hunting is pot luck but 2 boar in 4 days for 15 hunters who fired 14 shots over 4 days is at best wrong. Ever the beaters told us we were being short changed. Thank you for your good wishes for next time ,which will not be with Osman

Just for clarification - how many shots were fired to get the 3 and how many opportunities were presented?

Regards,
Gixer
14 shots fired including 6 at 260 meters,
2 at 2 pigs, 1 shot and one wounded
1 shot at a pig 80 plus meters, full speep in cover ,dispatched by 70 year old man
Probably had maximum of 5 opportunities and I'm being generous suggesting that

Absolutely disgraceful and people have the audacity to pull a straight face when they’re ripping people off. You’re paying good hard earned money that you’ve set aside to go on this dream hunt for years probably. Life lesson I suppose.
He's a professional alright
Thanks for your support
