Hunting is hunting. When we have our village hunt as it is called I partake in hope rather than expectation that I will get lucky.
Reading Post #48 it says there is an expectation of shooting a boar per gun per day. So the expectation for that trip would be 60 boar. If there were were 30 boar shot for 200 shots then you could blame the guns.
A couple of boar shot and very little seen is down to the organisers.
Just after Covid finished I went on a boar trip , not with the organisers of this trip, to Turkey. 80-100 boar was the expectation for the trip. Whilst we shot slightly more boar than the OP's trip it was a very unsuccessful trip. Sadly a trip that had a tragic end to it.
We did however get payed a refund from the organiser. Plus the hotel and food was OK.
Boar in Turkey are often shot at longer distances than driven boar in Europe. I took the Mauser instead of the double rifle as I was forewarned about the type of terrain we would be hunting.
There are hunts where you pay overages if the bag exceeds the bag promised. I've hunted in Hungary several times where the cost depends on the bag at the end of the day. With 80+ head in the bag I never payed more than 1600 euros.
With the getting to the airport, airport parking. Air fare , cost of the hunting, tips, etc and a good chance of a poor hunting I don't personally see driven boar as good value any more.
