Hello folks.
I took my moling bucket to my veg plot to set some mole traps. After a year in the shed the Putange traps have rusted like hell.
They were the copper coated ones.
Does anyone know of a seller of stainless putange traps? I know plenty of stainless triggers are available.

I was always told to rust them first anyway to make them easier to set? Tons on the net.To be honest though I've not used these, I've always stuck with duffus traps. R

Rust is fine. Just use a dremel to clean up the bearing surface area where the triggers go to ensure sensitive operation and they will be fine. Or sandpaper if you don't have a dremel.

Mine are always rusted to hell apart from the area where the triggers are set

Hello, Would putting the traps in a plastic bag and spraying with oil then leave to dry help, or would moley not like the smell ?

My putanges are all stainless. They were from the guy who posted 'Putanges The Movie ' on YouTube. Don't know if they're still available but i do have a phone number somewhere.
Re. post number 4 above, I don't subscribe to the theory of Moles being ultra sensitive to smells etc. I have set traps with diesel on them and it makes no odds. Set correctly, they'll catch.

So. This morning I took 6 traps to the shed and cleaned the contact areas for the triggers with a wire brush in the mini grinder.
On checking and replacing the three set traps the final one had a catch. There will be more, there always are .

the flat pack mole traps are the best .fully stainless and built too last.iv had mine years and use them all the time. Monarch design
