Anyone in N or W Oxon with a Zulus?

If anyone in N or W Oxon has a Zulus which they'd be happy to let me have a look through, please get in touch. I'm thinking of switching the Minox scope on my .243 stalking rifle for a Zulus, so I can use it for both stalking and foxing, but would like to have a proper look at one first if possible. I'm in the Charlbury/ Chipping Norton area. Many thanks in advance.

I intend to buy one soon and I’m in the Tring area (so not in oxon) but when I do get it you can have a peek.
What I can tell you, having looked at loads of them at the game fair, is that the v2 image is crystal clear.
I also looked at the new 4k scope from DNT and the image quality is no where near the v2 (same goes for all of the 4k scopes) although they do hold a colour image longer than the v2.
But, for me, having a super clear image (I was zooming into things over 300m away using the 5-20 model, and it was great) trumps having a colour picture, hence I will be purchasing one shortly for the upcoming winter cull.

Thanks, that's useful. With the v2 do you get a usable colour image an hour before/ after sunrise/ set? There are now quite a few fallow on my ground, and I'm really interested in being able to shoot them as early/ late as legal. (Thanks for the offer also!)

That's a good point, it would just seem a bit odd after so long using glass! If I can get a good colour image that would be ideal, but as you say, not vital.

Plenty of footage available of what the Zulus can do in poor light.
See below - I couldn’t make out the hedgerow never mind the hares…

Yes, I've seen that, thanks. I guess I'm most interested in its colour image at very low light, ie beginning and end of deer-legal time.

If you have never used a Zulus @pazmino , you may find the form of it difficult to get used to.

The Zulus colour image is nowhere near as good as HIK at last/first light. I've had both the full size Hik and the Zulus so feel comfortable with saying that.

I've a HIK micro Alpex lite at the moment for Foxing and Munty. Fine out to 160 yards.

I'm very near you - feel free to drop me a PM and can sort out letting you have a play with it?

This may give you an idea at least of what Hik capabilities are in terms of colour and NV combined. Then you can get a look through a Zulus and take it from there.

I think you will be in b&w by then, but, the quality of image doesn’t diminish.
All of the 4k scopes were far more pixelated so even if it’s in colour then it’s not as clear a picture.
Personally the loss of colour wasn’t enough to top the balance away from the v2
