So without giving you a long winded story I’ll give you a medium one, went to the field zero’d off my scope prob not quite 100% went to the field couldn’t hit a shadow. Then in the better light zero’d again at 25yards (with ballistic ammo data in) then shot a rabbit later that night.
So then decided the rounds I’m using are too loud for where I was shooting and turned to subsonic. I decided then to re zero instead of just changing ballistic data , but my theory was ill
Have two profiles for the two types of ammo.
Went to the gun range to get it bang on and then next day went to the field at night (yes I have an it torch ) and now I can’t seem to hit **** all again
I’m capable of shooting 100m at the range with club guns no problem
But can’t work out what I’m doing wrong.
So I rang Scot country to ask this question which I’m going to put to you lot
I’ve zero’d my scope to 25 yards so then using the lrf if I try a bunnie at 50-100 yards it should give me the ammo drop off calculation and I won’t have to re zero off for the further distances he replied yes that’s right but what have others found ? Is it better to get it zero’d off at 75-100 also ? Still getting to grips as you can tell with the digital scope any suggestions greatly appreciated
