Ps. It has a big turret on top that’s a tool box and it also houses batteries for calculator, I think. It’s not a Red Dot type.

I always walk through it and mutter to myself, shjite, shjite, shjite. Things made to a low price point generally are false economy IMHO, like Homebargains batteries.Got to love the TAT isle![]()

I am in the same place, but I’m trying the Alpex 4k lite LRF on my rimfires for a while. For pest control it works perfectly, with LRF, BC and one shot zero. I shot a deer last week in dense woodland, using an old Swarovski habicht 2.5-10x50, after spotting heat in my old pulsar thermal spotter and stalking in closer. The clarity of the glass enabled me to thread a shot through a gap in the brush. Not sure I’m ready for full digital experience yet - but it’s close and I’m not an early adopter. I tend to break tech…I can see pros and cons for both
Would it be handy to shoot up to last legal light and then transition to night shooting for foxes without the need to swap rifles or scopes - absolutely
Is it going to annoy me that its not clear - highly likely
The video point - its a novelty thing and I think id use it a few times and then forget about it
Lrf - I have that on the habroks
I've had a play with several and for the price point really cannot fault the Alpex 4k but just dont know if im ready to come away from the Swarovski
Yes the Thunder 3.0 is a good unit and I get reliable return to zero with a smartclip adaptor. I am also interested to see what the Nocpix Mate units will be like.hikmicro thunder 3.0 i use , really good bit of kit 100% return to zero , the new nocpix mate looks great aswell but I have only looked through demo units
Also, the Chinese are 100% spying on you through your cheap digital scopes!
And if anything kicks off, theyll all be put out of use remotely so keep a hold of the glass.
Call me paranoid, I dont care.![]()
Hi all,
looking for everyone's opinions if they have used a Hik Micro Alpex 4k,
You see I have been toying with the idea of replacing my current Swarovski Z3I with one and am still on the fence, I use a set of Habroks as Thermal / Bino's and think they are fantastic but I am unsure whether to change the Traditional Glass for a Digital scope.
I've seen many people raving about them but equally a lot of people selling them too. I know at the end of the day it'll be a decision that only I can make but I'd like to get everyone else's opinions on usage for stalking
Many thanks
TonyHi Lewis,
Here's where I stand and its only my option, others may differ.
I have a Swarovski Z8i and a Hik Alpex on a rifle I can chop and change as I wish with just a click of a mount.
I need deer in my chiller to feed my venison business and the Alpex gives me another half hour of legal shooting in my woodland stalking areas.
My Z8i is crystal clear in all weathers but can't see in the dark, it has BT so I can dial up if needed.
My Alpex see's in the dark and its like daylight, can be used for foxing with a IR torch, it has a ballistic calculator and a good zoom, it is very easy to zero, it films the shot you have taken, it is 4 times cheaper than my Swarovski!
Which one would I choose if I was a recreational stalker? well that's a difficult one now I have both and using both in different settings.
Tony
Hi Mike,Tony
Can I ask which QD mounts you have and if you have had any issues with POI shift? Cheers![]()
A friend is getting rid of his HIK after trying my rifle with a classic fixed power scope. He couldn’t believe how simple and easy it was to use glass! And without the random scope failures!![]()
