Hi all
As the title states any one had any real world experience of using night vision on a 45/70?
Due a second visit on the pigs and would like to use my 45/70, I’ve an Alpex scope but see it’s only stated to.308win
Don’t want to wreck it
Thanks in advance

I thought it was rated a bit higher than .308 but I could be wrong (I have one on a .30-06). I’d be more worried about damage to the scope from your eye socket personally (or vice versa depending on your priorities!)
Your right
It’s a Ruger number1 but I stick to trapdoor loads which are not that harsh
Stops everything I need it to up to sensible 45/70;woodland range
To be fair I shouldn't criticise as I do own one myself and obviously its a 'modernized' version of a classic and comes with a tactical rail. I use mine with open sights though because...well...you know...lever gun...

i have a scope and a side mounted red dot and i am currently looking for a nice little mount for a lazer sight as well but it needs to clear the moderator and bayonet
