All seems like a bit of sour grapes to me.
Nobody is forcing anyone to sign up for these courses and no goal posts are being moved.(as yet). The industry has done that all by itself with a huge push by the shooting and stalking organisations that everyone fawns over.
All I see is someone capitalising on a system that has already been put upon us and I ask you why not?
It’s called free market enterprise and as long as standards aren’t compromised then why is it wrong to have more options available and possibly at a better price.
Would I do this course in question ?definitely no as it serves me no purpose.
If others want to be parted with their hard earned cash and it makes them feel good….. crack on.
I would guess there are bigger and far more serious problems and legislation heading our way.
Better off focusing on that, than in fighting about who has the biggest willy …

Is there a module on missing sika in Wicklow, advanced beard trimming, Cuban cigars and how to get your Black credit card maxed out at Beretta in St James's?

Is this the same Stalking Directory where any post about DSC2 is full of "since they made it only one stalk it is worthless" "ooh it used to mean something" "back in the day...."
and - constant kicking of NGO/BDS/DMQ/BASC for being useless but whenever anything new comes out it is also shite and worthless
This cert has elements of ecology/biology, deer management as well as practical skill demonstration - basically seems like a NVQ level 6 maybe - I'd sort of expect anyone managing large tracts of FC land to have at least this level of skill and experience but what do they have today DSC2 and DMC maybe?

This isn't targeted at recreational stalkers, it's for people who want a career in deer management and probably aimed more at an organisational level than hands on.
I did wonder about where they mentioned about the practical part for invasive and non invasive species. I thought that from a practical side it's exactly the same for both.

We live in interesting times, I for one am curious as to who they see as their potential market.
Apparently the assessors for the level 3 already have their level 4 qualification, according to a recent comment by Peter Jones on one of his promotional Instagram posts, in response to a query from a sceptical stalker.
Correction to my post above. Level 3 assessors are overseen by a level 4 qualified verifier, apparently:
Roll out level 5
And they can assess the assessors,assessing the assessor

This reminds me of the "iphone" marketing, brilliant, how can we provide people with something that 99% of them never needed in the first place, at a hugely inflated price from the previous perfectly adequate model, I was proudly told by a previous colleague taken in by the iPhone hype that his brand new phone was able to do cad drawings, he was a dog warden
