A bit of seriousness for a second, it is fun when your livelihood doesnt fully depend on these courses and having to do them, and when your employer has contracted you instead of employed you because of their own financial reasons. I have an issue with it and mainly thats the price . ITS £750.
£750 is far out my budget , when you have to do all sorts like ATV certificates and chainsaw , EFAW+F etc the cost of courses is just through the roof .
It also doesnt tell you if you need DSC2 to progress to 3 OK i have DSC2 but others might not and that means you have to pay your £175 for DSC1 , you £375 for DSC2 and THEN £750 for DSC3 , for me I am not sure what benifit .
I will however have to do it IF Nature Scot. Require it but I am struggling as it is . The financial burden is now a big worry for me, there's no money in venison, most feel that £650 a day is too much for an accompanied stalk, so we stopped doing too much of that and the work barely brings in £30k a year. Most of you won't get out of bed for that.
This all just adds up now.
