Sako power blade

Hi everyone. Been using Norma and hornady 130gr bullets through my tikka T3 .270, I would like to tighten up the grouping without the time to reload my own ammo, has anyone tried the sako power blades through a tikka with good results? I know every barrel is different, but before I go and spend the equivalent on a million pounds on a box, just thought I’d ask the question.

I’ve been using Power blade 6.5 Swedish and Creedmoor for a few years and it is faultless. I love the stuff!
Also using Hornady CX the last year and it’s as good.

That’s normal for 270win not seen one that doesn’t shoot yet!

Sold mine after personally shooing over 5k though it and it still shot 1/2” groups bastard thing just wouldn’t die

I use Sako Powerhead Blade's in both my Tikka T3 and Browning X Bolt. 270's.

I've just got into reloading and have been working on loads for my .270 and .243.
With the .270 I'm using the Sako 120gr Powerhead blade and Vhit N160 powder. So far I've only used them on paper and have had pretty good results. Next time I'm at the range I'm gong to borrow a chronograph to see what the average MV is compared to the factory loads. If its good then I'll start using them on deer once I've used the last few rounds of factory ammo.

I had forgotten about this thread but thought I would give my findings of factory v home load info from my chrono.

5 rounds of 120gr factory powerhead blades in .270 in my 20" barrel Tikka T3X gave an average MV of 2957.3 fps
5 rounds of 120gr home loads gave an average of 3033.1 fps

I'm happy with these figures and confident they will do the business on the deer every bit as good as the factory stuff.
