A rant about coarse fishing and river woes

I Worked for a year re estsblishing a fishery on n yorkshire only for it to be wiped out by a farming dumping dihestant upstream. I provided all the evidence that the EA asled for but theu still didnt prpsecute. They knew he did it because he had form. Total embarassment.

Was that Skeeby beck? Farmer destroyed several miles of this beck in 2024 with slurry "accident"..... EA investigated but not heard if he was done. Nothing quite as soul destroying as wading up a lifeless river with white bellies of dead fish in every eddy and pool... Olly done a great job managing access and it was a fantastic grayling and wild brownie river, could of cried when I found out.

Thats interesting, not skeeby beck but they share the same head water and it was 2023, the ITC fishery in Catterick.

look it up for yourself ask it is a Hare classed as game in England , wales and Scotland , Northern Ireland . Then you will actually know the full truth of the matter ! am fed up with numpties . There are many deep Legal pits to fall into in shooting hares , who gives you the legal permission, tenant farms , can the local butcher but or sell them etc erc . Ethics seem to be nothing to so many shooters today once they think they have " A right " Well there are still pits to fall into
All that i am aware of in way of change was the ability to kill out of season under specific set or rules . ( and yet it far from a free for all for all reasons of any season )
Small Rabbits are ok to fend for a meal themselves once they can get out of the warren - But its far different for the Leveret ! That's just Ethics and common sense
