Petition on trail hunting.

I recently witnessed a hunt with several quad bikes parked on the grass verge of the A1 (yes, the main road between London and Edinburgh 😆), horses and riders stood just over the fence, encircling an area of gorse.
It clearly wasn't a drag hunt, the hunting fraternity only have themselves to blame for the attention they bring.

It’s simple. Those hunts that continue to hunt foxes should be prosecuted under the 2004 Hunting with Dogs Act. Those that trail / drag hunt should be allowed to continue.

Did you report it ?

You do realise the antis view us in exactly the same way they view fox hunters and will step up their efforts to get shooting banned if they succeed in getting trail hunting banned
So, you obviously missed the point I was highlighting.
If you insist on breaking the law, it would be best to at least try and conceal the offence.
Whether it was reported is irrelevant, as I didn't state my for/against views.

Oh no, I got your point alright. Irrelevant, i dont think so

Signed...

The remaining field sports enthusiasts need to stop bickering & sniping at each other, and pull all the wagons in a circle and start fighting back... they want our scalps just as much as the Plains Indians wanted Long Hairs.....
Do you think this is fighting back?
Buddy, it won't make the slightest difference.
Let's not forget, the hunts did attempt to throw shooters on the fire last time.
The establishment knows how to divide us and destroy us, it's done it for centuries.

No, I don't think signing a petition is fighting back.
It would be nice to think the remaining field sports orgs could actually start a "Hearts & Minds" type campaign to highlight the good that the countryside has to offer.
It's worked for the orgs that generally oppose us.
I don't think the carry on and keep your head down attitude many adopt is going to cut the mustard in the long run. We need to be proactive.

I've hunted with dogs all my life, I love a pack of hounds, I'm not too keen on the types who ride, but hey-ho, we are all different. They used desperate tactics last time round to try to keep the bill from going through. It was unjust to say the sort of things they did, but people say desperate things when they have the back against the wall... Look at Prince Andrew when he was interviewed by Emily Maitlis... Pizza Express anyone :norty:

I'll put a sign outside tomorrow mate.
"Free fox shooting experience" and "come and shoot a squirrel day".

Not 100% but isn't there an amount of dogs to be used for flushing to guns, two possibly? If you had a pack of hounds near it could be argued that the rule was being broken even if the hounds weren't being used
Is there a distance rule?
