Shot placement with a difference

Pedant alert:
The correct spelling in the context in which it was used (ie, to refer to someone in a derogatory way) is actually "nob".
Does it not depend on which kind of derogatory?
'Nob', from 'noble' for making fun of someone for their (self-imagined or actual) high social status;
and the other one for making comparison with some kind of (perhaps anatomical) protuberance?

I would have thought the version with the 'k' would have been the right one here - but as we've established that description doesn't apply to Fudge, there seems little point discussing in further depth what precisely he isn't.

Yeah, shot is probably safe. No visible earth backstop, but chances of a camper in a tent being just inside the hedgerow line is pretty small. Officially, probably not a dsc pass to take the shot, but I’m guessing 99.9% of stalkers would take it .

All about knowing your ground. If there was a bridleway running in the other side, hell no I’d not take that shot.

I once had a roe walk in front of some gorse bushes, steep bank behind, 99.9% would take the shot. Just didn’t feel right…deer passed, a 4 yr old kid got out of the gorse bushes, he’d been hiding and playing.

Very scary, and I’m pleased, to say the least, I stick to my rules that not only a safe backstop, but VISIBLE

The scene from Calibre (movie) pops into my head every time I am thinking about backstops.

well every day's a learning day! - I always thought the reference was anatomical (but then I would :lol: ), I never knew about the "nob" version background! cheers.

Spag Bol, chilli, lasagne, in fact anything that anyone else would use beef mince for - bought a meat grinder last year 👍

Also makes a great stew too 😋
We have Munty backstraps thinly cut, egged, and coated in Japanese Ponken breadcrumbs with added Jamaican jerk spice tonight.
Often eat venison 4 nights a week in various meals 😋
