Nicely done there mate. Unless I have any problem foxes I ll be leaving them alone until July...Ive hit them reasonably hard over winter so they can have their cubs in peace...as long as they behave

Yes, I sneaked up to a bank with an earth that is sometimes used when this vixen appears from a gorse shaking the cub then trotted off with it and I followed. It stopped a couple hundred yards away from the earth and started removing the cubs head. That allowed me to get to about 75 yards and put a 22 across it's ribs.

just got my femural nail and rod today as the screw was working loose and causing a bit of discomfort .
so the question is,will I be out foxing tomorrow night?

I’d give it a day or two, I’ve got a bottle of oramorph here and you could be running around the field in 10 minutes but I wouldn’t like to think what state you’d be in once it wore off, take it easy and mend properly

After several hours out this evening and nothing seen, I was about to pack up when I clocked a heat signature making it was towards the lambs - 140m with the 223 and it was lights out for this vixen
