25-06 lead free

So was going to give up my old 25-06 on my renewal soon
But before I do I thought I would see if anyone on here is running lead free through there’s ? Mines an older gun and doesn’t like longer heavier 120 grain heads at all
So not sure it’s going to like lead free stuff either with the added bullet length but will be a shame to keep it just for range plinking

I run 101 grn lrx in mine with rs62 going out at 3450fps. Shoots ragged hole groups and it’s a laser out to 300 yards.

The lrx is a hell of a bullet

101 lrx for me too under n160 .

Fox classic hunters 100grn was similar accuracy in initial testing to the LRX... but haven't load developed them yet ...still on LRX

I’ve used 90gn Hornady CX factory and it does just what it says on the tin.

Yes i use barnes 100g and they work really well however are very expensive. But i dont home load

Get hold of @Edinburgh Rifles - order a box of 100gn Fox bullets.

Load them to factory ammo specs - Fox Non Lead Bullets – Edinburgh Rifles

Or if you don’t have powder listed and you ask very nicely they will you a Quickload with powder that you have / is suitable.

I may have a box of hornady already not sure to be honest though as I bought a lot of boxes when they announced all this lead free stuff just in case I needed it
the syndicate I’m in insist on lead free so I got most of my calibers covered a couple of years back
