Agreed. It's just the CA claim to support rural life in general, but really only dig their heels in when it comes to hunting. I'll add that, had I the means, I would happily charge across the countryside with my chums, preferably on a bloody big horse, in headlong pursuit of something swift, furry and frightened, and as often as possible. It is so obviously hugely fun, and all the more so for being insanely dangerous and ruinously expensive.Most organisations have a single focus in what they support. CA focus on hunting (in the old English traditional view of Hunting, Shooting, Fishing…not hunting in modern parlance), BASC focus on Driven bird shooting, both claim to support other country pursuits but do so with varying degrees of vigour. At the moment no one is focussing on deer stalking probably because deer numbers are recognised as a problem by the general public and therefore less of a a concern.
A further ban would mark another dismal victory for those who think there's no greater pleasure to be had from life than wiping the smiles off other people's faces.
