"What does your daddy do..."

No line borer available so made the bushes allowing for hard bushes to be pulled it and went for it. 80mm pin.
That yard is a housing estate these days.... more fun when it was a mix of yards.

I pushed around bits and bytes and loved it, until I got fed up with working with drones. I thought I had got away from drones, now I have to deal with them in day-to-day life.

Have worked with trees for the majority of the last 25 years and at almost 44, am feeling it.

Other than planting (as infrequently as possible) nearly every other aspect of my work has been making bits of wood smaller in one way or another. Started off felling, bought a couple of smaller machines, did a bit of firewood alongside, did a bit or Arb, did a bit more arb and less forestry, went back into forestry (mostly big hardwood by hand or thinnings with a linkage mounted processor) and am now working for someone else a few days a week doing a bit of everything (though shining a machine seat as much as possible!) and looking after the little one the other days before he starts school properly in September.

I suppose really I just get to play with noisy toys all day and make a mess, whether I'm at home or at work.

Edit: Forgot to say - I do think I might just still be in credit though, despite felling thousands of trees over the years, I've planted thousands too.

My day job. Big boys mecano!... works well when supervised, and cornered like a💩 house rat!. I'm the one on the left.
I remember working on the back deck of a DSV in the North Sea many years ago with a young lad and at the time he wanted to become a diver.
He went home and done the course then came back offshore and the OM gave him the chance which he took, Anyway he came out of his first sat and said he'll never go back in as he couldn't handle it and thought about getting into ROV's.
I have never seen him since so I'm not sure which path he took but I doubt it would have been sat diving

Daz,

I've had 2 sats with a teammate who didn't like it..1 I had to chemical cosh him for deco as he attempted to take the wet pot apart at depth(100msw)!.🤣🤦‍♂️. And the other chap made into the bell but as soon as the top door opened he threw up and said no thank you!.

I can beat that, joined a marsh walk with the club and a new member turned up new BASC hat and BASC badge on his coat, wading stick cut out of the hedge that morning, the Chairman said "DO NOT" jump off the edge but take a step out and the bottom is firm.
Nope he jumped and went down past his knees in his waders. I don't think I helped with 2 of him trying to get him out by saying
"hurry up the tide has turned" they got him out but he never ever came back

I have been on back gas on the 100mtr mark quite a lot but duck that stuck in a bell, I would have liked the work but not stuck on a bell.
Fair ducking play to you:tiphat:

I was away in the Motorhome last week on the Isle of Whithorn and got chatting to a lad Ive never seen before in the pub.
Turns out he was an ex diver who had to retire recently for health reasons, We had both worked on the same ships at different times and worked with the same people at various times in our careers but had never crossed paths offshore.
Pelican, Bar Protector, Welly, Bibby Sapphire and the old Old Adams Challenge, Its a small world

I’ve put subsea isolations on for loads and loads of divers I’ve never met lol.

Wouldn’t be me. I love my knees and elbows too much to pump them full of all that nitrogen

Dazb,
I've been on the Pelican( now razor blades), Welly (last seen offshore Romania 2018'ish), and the Adams Nomad and the Challenger (not sure where they are),
I was on the Nomad in the states after hurricane Katrina had finished, it made me laugh when the Americans in the port asked who Adams was Algosabi Diving and Marine services wasn't what they expected to hear....🤣🤣. To me and those that know aka Crazies.🤣😎👍
