I am not being funny/picky but I don't understand reference to splitting the 'aches'
Unless it is refering to the 'H' bone, can someone enlighten me please.
Sorry for being thick, but I am a 'Somerset Southerner' ;)

Aitch bone the bone between the haunches, seems there are less people split it these days especially south of the border, up here most of our gamedealers require it to be split,

Even the SNH best practise guides describe how it should be split though they do say its not absolutely essential in females.

In red stags the pizzles have a market value traditionally stalkers perks worth several hundred pounds a year to a stalker, but to be able to be sold the genitals must still be attached to the aitch bone, they are of no value if not attached to the bone.

That is our very own 'Mr Lewis' :D

More like our very own" Mr Cut & Paste " ....more locally known

I'm No great fan of David due to his previous antics and self beliefs, but on this occasion
full applause
those kids luvved it and feel David did a good job passing on his knowledge and skills ..can't fault that one

on the whole a great program and would luv to see more like it...
one question
was that fallow chop of a farmed or wild deer??
But it was an impressive layer of fat and defo would taste as good as it looked
yep great program alround

Just watched it on iPlayer and was mightly impressed a BIG :thumb:up to the BBC for the programme and Mr Warner on his presentation skills
