I am not being funny/picky but I don't understand reference to splitting the 'aches'
Unless it is refering to the 'H' bone, can someone enlighten me please.

Aitch bone the bone between the haunches, seems there are less people split it these days especially south of the border, up here most of our gamedealers require it to be split,
Even the SNH best practise guides describe how it should be split though they do say its not absolutely essential in females.
In red stags the pizzles have a market value traditionally stalkers perks worth several hundred pounds a year to a stalker, but to be able to be sold the genitals must still be attached to the aitch bone, they are of no value if not attached to the bone.
