Are most of the members dodgy on Hunting Life forum, or just a few?

The reason I ask is because of a thread "Been caught poaching, need advise" which is on the first page of the general section. The Opening post is

"rate chaps went art friday night to cut a long story short we got locked up for poaching an theres deer dna an fur in bk of us motor , theres 10 deer also been found , they have got us bang to rights basicaly wev been bailed for forensic tests to come bk of the deer dna an fur in car an the deer they found , also siezed 2 motors our mobile phones an clothes ! we all gave a no comment interview but when the forensic tests come back they will be able to link us to them , just wanting to know if we go guilty what sentance we would be looking at an have any of you been in my situation before an what punishment did the courts decide ? wev got dogs back also! thanks in advance try to keep it clean an no stupid comments

I cant believe this is for real, and that the OP has posted it on a public forum. Bang him up, take away his dogs, cars and phones, plus his computer

:D What a cracking wind up....

But let's go "wi 't young lad's sto ree" ... What do we think?

It seems... He broke the law. He got caught breaking the law. He seems to accept the evidence is all there to prove it too.

What should he do.

(a) Plead NOT GUILTY and make the authorities work for their living but almost certainly max his sentence if he's proved guilty?

Or...

(b) Just plead GUILTY and be sensible about it and maybe have the court show a little leniency in view of his co-operation and remorse?

What is more alarming is that followwing such a post people are supporting him and offering advice on the forum:shock: One would think that admin would take action on this.

I only hope that they get what they deserve, the full weight of the law upon them. Poaching in any shape or form is abhorent, even more so with coursing and poaching deer. Pity we do not have stricter laws such as the USA.

along with the IFF , this is another website that should be shutdown , these are cesspits that allow the worst people in field sports to brag about their illegal activities

What if he claims he got injured after he did the poaching, maybe has a touch of amnesia now and has simply forgotten it is illegal to poach... what then?

To top it all theres plenty of clowns giving him advice !!!! Get rid of your dogs ? That wont change anything ! Hope he gets a year for each deer !!!

What you will find is that most that post on the hunting life forum will have been brought up with a disire to hunt and ctah wild life its in most of us. Sometimes circumstances normally cash stops them following there passion. While it is important that these chaps if? they have been caught poaching get sentenced. It is also important to make sure that the next generation who have an inherent desire to hunt shoot and fish get that chance no matter what financial back ground they come from. We have to many deer in Britain one of the reasons is we do not use the full resources at our disposal (MAN POWER) The other is greed were some keep 100.000,s of acres to them selves and claim they are managing the population when in truth they are just causing problems by increase.
My opinion is let the law deal with this and keep the site as it is impartial.

I assumed this was a wind up, what worries me more is the amount of "advice" from the rest of the site!!
Jesus!

Aye! you're a good man Davie. I always thought so, no-matter what they said :D

Let the law deal with it. It's their job. Quite right. The law knows better than us and will only dish out punishment when proof has been tried in court and guilt established.

I still think the whole story was a wind up... all that careful, phonetic spelling is the sure sign of game player. Good wind-up though.

as should be, there's a reason the admin team send out a psychometric screening test to you before they approve your application for a username.

Yeah, but the pass/fail mark wasn't set very high.

If the person that sets a test is a tester are the people who sit those tests a bunch of testees?
