Schmidt and bender scopes in stock anyone ?????

​Does any one know of a store that actually has stock of Schmidt and bender scopes I'm fed up finding everyone's shop showing them but when I call they have none of the scopes that they are advertising ...???

Gone are the days where retailers carried a million pounds worth of stock.... try buying a fridge freezer from Curry's and taking it home the same day they only have the display model.
​They can usually get you one delivered within a few days though.

For what its worth I heard that S&B had won a massive contract for the American military and consequently sporting scopes were taking a back seat which could be reflected in low stock levels at dealers.

Just got my new Swaro from Mcleods, excellent service. Ordered lunch time and arrived the next morning.
At the same time I ordered a scope cover from Swillingtons, no sign of it yet. It'll be the last order from me.

It seems you can get the Hungarian ones but not the German made scopes. I got mine from Uttings just a few months back

Every S&B scope in Uttings is listed as 'Temporarily Unavailable', Sportsman Gun Centre everthing is on '2 week +' for those items not in stock. I called York Guns recently for a 1-8x24 and they stated that their stock is very limited and they have to call S&B direct to establish availability as they never know what or when stock is coming in - all due to the military contract. Appears that retailers with S&B in stock are probably units they have held for a while.
