I,ve raise £2315.25 so far with all by £25 coming from this site alone. that's just amazing by it's self. but if anyone else can give anymore not to just mine but others on here who are doing it for H4H it would not go a miss at this time www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/itsgoingtohurt

We live, of course, in a country that long ago made ILLEGAL the right to carry a handgun for self-defence and that even before the handgun ban enacted in Britain in 1996. And that ban extended even to serving servicemen and servicewomen in mainland Great Britain.

The reports are that it took the police TWENTY MINUTES before an armed response unit arrived. That, in fact, these two young men WAITED for the
arrival of that armed unit and then, with their cleaver and knives rushed the unit at which point they were then both shot.

Do you really think that inthe USA in "right to carry" states that this would have had his outcome?

Quite possible armed American citizens would have themselves shot the twoattackers log before they were able to deal mortal blows to the soldier. They
had knocked him down first by driving a motor vehicle onto thepavement.

We live, in Britain, in a country where we are like sheep.

Expecting the shepherd to protect us from the wolf and yet never daring to askif it is not WE OURSELVES who should be allowed the means to protect ourselves...instead of waiting for the police to arrive.

In 1920 and in 1948 we gave up, as a nation, the right to carry firearms for self-defence. A right enshrined in the Bill of Rights of 1688.

For in 1920 and in 1948 a "contract" being implied that instead the police would now protect us so we no longer needed that right. Yet as all too often shown the police can now no longer honour that contract. And so we reap the harvest.

Maybe in a past time more steadfast policticians would have then demanded that if the police could no longer honour that contract that the general public be then allowed to take back the right they had given up the right to take personal responsibility for protecting themselves. The right to have arms for their defence as allowed by law.

But today?

We reap the crop that those before us allowed to be sown.

[TD="class: post, colspan: 2"]What I can't understand is why are they in hospital being treated, probably a NHS one too.
If they were 'shot' by the police why are they still alive, police are only expected to shoot as a last resort so it should be their target's last breath !!
As for becoming martyrs after death, they can only become martyrs if they have their faces and names splashed all over the media.
If they were despatched and disposed of then a good job would have been done, no need for 'intelligence' the act of death and disposal would either bring the sympathisers out in the open or frighten them away.
It makes me very angry when I think of what will happen to them when they are patched up and put in front of a judge, more publicity and fame for them.
That poor soldier must have suffered hell before he finally died and what a way to go too, absolutely terrible.
My heartfelt condolences go to his kith and kin.

Firstly, utterly sickened by the acts of these two thugs.
Secondly, sickened by the mindless thugs who seek to use this tragic death to incite others to violence (on both sides of the coin)

Also worried by the people who say "how did we let these people into the country" when the murdering *******s were quite clearly Born and bred in this fair isle. No immigrant could ever match the thick "Larndan" accent exhibited in the Youtube footage!

I have to think that the dead soldiers family will not be happy to see his death used to incite more hatred and violence.

"sickened by the mindless thugs who seek to use this tragic death to incite others to violence (on both sides of the coin)"
Are you suggesting that those who expect the Police to do their job in this case are 'inciting others to violence'
It was a clear cut case of a violent act by the two thugs, so it should have been dealt with swift and fast, cleared up and put to bed at the time.

I think there is something very disturbing happening all over the world at the moment, in Europe more more than in any other continent. There is a sharp increase of the extremes. All over Europe there are 'political parties', 'charities', 'social and religious clubs' etc (a.k.a groups of thugs) that preach intolerance to anyone and anything that is not 100% in agreement with them. Be it far right, far left, muslim or christian fundamentalists, this continent is heading for deep trouble in unprecedented proportions. I fear that what happened today, in all its brutal and bloodied nature is all but a forerunner of what is to come. I, for one, have noticed an increase on the severity and intensity of nasty actions from man to man in the last decade. We are slowly getting conditioned to see this ever increasing violence (and the state reaction to it) as 'everyday business'. A double whamy really. We are getting desensitized to atrocious acts of violence whilst the state finds ever more reasons/excuses to depleat our freedoms in order to protect us.

Sad news that can only get sadder...

I keep writing replies to this thread and then having to delete them. I am sure most of us feel very angry about what has happened. I can't understand why these people are allowed into Britain?

Being from Cornwall I'm not used to translating all the different accents but I thought the bloke on the video said "I apologise that women had to witness this today.....but in our land, our women have to see the same" meaning that he was from a different land (i.e. not this one)
maybe I heard him wrong?

needs someone in charge too do something? but will not happen and as per will be forgot about in afew weeks!!! this country has gone too the dogs.

Did you hear the pile of filth speak he had clearly never been outside London in his life...

Home reared scum the worst of the worst.

So sorry that this tragedy happened in your country. As retired US military it pains me when we lose a troop for no good reason. I understand war time and training losses, but this was an utter waste.

At least your PM has the balls to call it a terrorist attack. Our illustrious leader took quite a while before he decided what to call our Boston bombers:(

As for a couple of previous comments - had something like this happened in Washington DC, New York, or Chicago (our "civilized" cities) we would have had the same, very late, response by the police. The citizens in those areas could have done nothing since they are effectively disarmed (just like you).

However, had it happened in the West or South, the outcome would likely be much different.

I am an American from the southern state of Tennessee.

I am not exaggerating when I say these guys would have been shot dead if not immediately within 2 minutes.

Im so sorry this happened and prayers for the vicitm's family.

We got yalls back. I hate them sons of bitches. Good thing is they stay away from my state cause we don't make them feel welcomed.

I fear you may be right much as it sickens me to say it.there are things being felt & thought here that cannot/should not be said on open forum I think & that in itself speaks volumes.
I know many ppl who would not have needed the police, just a Hurst if they had been there as onlookers however as an FAC SGC holder I couldn't possibly share their feelings:suss:

Indeed but for all the empowerment the Common man is said to enjoy in the 21st Century there is no doubt in my mind that the heart-felt sentiments of both sympathy and disgust to be found here are shot through with an underlying frustration born of the reverse.

My thoughts are with the poor chap's nearest & dearest and that in the days ahead their loss will run a poor second to that deeply unattractive and confused word that is "Community".

Thank you for that post. It did make me laugh. Not that I agree with what you say, its just that we are so used to political correctness in this country that to hear such candid language is extremely unusual. So much so, that I imagine your post may not last all that long.

The fundamental question has to be, how it is possible for the 'western world' to be held to account to apply 'the rule of law', which others do not understand or value?

I predict a riot, I do hope not but I think it's been simmering for a while now and it just boiled over.

So now the scuffers are to have an internal inquiry because they shot these two pieces of filth and waste further time and money 'building' a prosecution case.
What really do the courts need - the video with bloody hands and machette is there, their admission of guilt is already on record and they attempted to 'charge' the scuffers that took so long to arrive in the first place.

The question is why they weren't both shot dead on the spot and the only answer to that can be we need to find out who else and where the location of any others that think similarly to these $h1t$ are.

The other factor here is these are 'home grown' thugs and probably from within London itself.

Perhaps when convicted, they'll be imprisoned in the MOD place at Colchester??
